SHANGHAI, CHNA / ACCESSWIRE / December 5, 2022 / Hexaell Biotech Co., Ltd announced that the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA, formerly CFDA) has cleared the IND, enabling the company to proceed a clinical trial for HepaCure, a novel device-drug combination product using hiHeps technology, a cell transdifferentiation technology which could directly convert human fibroblasts to hepatocyte like cells with liver cell functions. Hexaell plans to initiate a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in the second half of 2022 in patients who have acute-on-chronic liver failure syndromes.
