Two weeks removed from the restart of their season, the Colorado Rapids signed one midfielder Tuesday and are ready to add another.

Collen Warner, a Denver native who has played for five other Major League Soccer teams, signed a one-year deal with the Rapids.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Argentine Braian Galvan is serving a quarantine period in Colorado ahead of joining the Rapids when the team heads to the Orlando area for the MLS Is Back Tournament, according to MLSsoccer.com. Back in January, Galvan reached a pre-transfer agreement with the Rapids, and he will be free to join his new team beginning July 1.

Warner, a 32-year-old defensive midfielder, spent last season with FC Helsingor, a second-division Danish team. He has MLS experience with Real Salt Lake (2010-11), Montreal Impact (2012-14), Toronto FC (2014-15), Houston Dynamo (2016) and Minnesota United (2017-18).

Current Colorado assistant coach Robin Fraser was an assistant at Toronto FC during Warner's time with the club.

"As we prepare for the MLS is Back Tournament next month, our focus is on continuing the form which saw us start the season with two consecutive wins," Rapids general manager Padraig Smith said in a statement. "We're driven by the opportunity to win the first trophy of the season and recognize that this competition format will test teams' rosters like never before. Collen not only provides additional depth to our midfield, his familiarity with Robin from their time together in Toronto will be an asset in helping him integrate quickly with our group."

Warner has four goals and 12 assists in 207 career MLS games (153 starts).

Galvan is joining the Rapids from Colon in the Argentine Primera Division. He made nine appearances for the senior team, scoring one goal.

"He's a fast, skillful and talented player who has already made his professional debut and has been a part of the Argentine youth national team system," Smith said in January. "We see great potential in him and couldn't be more thrilled to have him join our club."

The Rapids (2-0-0, six points) are scheduled to restart their season July 12 against Real Salt Lake in a group-stage game at the MLS Is Back event.
